Co-Generation

At Udagiri Sugar & Power Ltd., we have implemented co-generation plants to maximize energy utilization and reduce wastage. We have two co-generation plants, an older one with a capacity of 14 MW and a newer one with a capacity of 2 MW.

Both the old and new co-generation plants contribute to the efficient utilization of resources. The electricity generated by these plants can be used to power our sugar manufacturing processes, equipment, and other operational needs.

The heat generated during the power generation process is captured and utilized for various thermal applications, such as drying, heating, or powering steam-based processes.

By implementing co-generation, we optimize energy efficiency by minimizing wastage and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
